Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder's father was born into the Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are the half siblings of Ryder. At the age of seven, Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated into Mendocino County California. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a consummate reader and spent her time reading books as there was no television. Ryder, then 12, enrolled at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. In 1986, she got her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout high school. Ryder hoped that her actions would bring about a change. However, the plan didn't pan out. Still, she pursued her goal. Her biggest break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder was able to continue her successful characters in numerous films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated in the Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
