Amy Smart is an American former actress and model. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modeling professional career in Italy. In 1996, she made her debut as an actress in the TV movie Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to be a part of Starship Troopers in a smaller role. She struggled with the transition to acting as models weren't considered skilled actors and generally were offered less roles. Amy was determined to succeed and she eventually landed larger parts beginning in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. Then she stepped into leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy received the recognition she'd been looking for since the age of 10. Amy continued to make significant films like the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played a well loved recurring character.
